The societal implications of social media

In our life with a lot social media, especially for young people but not only, interactions between our model of life are changed. Nowadays, Social Media share our life and be a part of our manner of thinking

With the use of social networks, profound changes in our ways of life have taken place. The involvement of social media shapes our daily lives differently.
One of these profound changes is advertising. Nowadays, these are much more present and much more effective via Social Media.

Another significant change is campaigns. With last election in US, Brexit or France social media were the 1st media to inform people, especially young people. It is completely a new way to communicate in politics. The one who have a perfect control of Social Media have a competitive advantage on young people generation.
This is used too to create surveys about election.

Another big change is the way to find a job. A lot job seekers are looking for a new job with social media. Facebook and Linkedin are the most favorite social media for companies and job seekers.

Social Media is a good source of information for job seekers to know more about companies which offer jobs. This source of information is true for companies about job seekers. It looks to know people or companies before to meet them. That is why it could dangerous for people, especially in this case for job seekers because companies could have a bad image before to read a CV and job seekers could have less chance to find a job. The first opinion about someone is often the opinion which stay in memories.

A great change with social media is the way to buy (social-media-influences-purchasing-decisions).

For example 21% of auto purchases are influenced by social media -more than any other industry.

Each company knows importance of social media fr their business. Now it is indispensable to manage social media for business because people have a lot information about product and can easily compare price between companies.

Social media is omnipresent in our life. And this presence could be affect our personality and our brain. Indeed, Social media is a new form of addictive substance. Who does not look its phone when the phone buzzes in the middle of productive work? This is disturbing and we know that but it is difficult for most people to put our phone in another place to not disturb.
It is the same problem when we sleep. Each buzz or each little sound from our phone disturb dangerously our sleep and affect our day.

Great blog with an abundance of fab information. In my opinion, yes as a society I feel social media will only grow and grow as it has taken over our lives so far.

    1. Thanks Sharon for your comment ;) By looking for about this topic I had the same thinking. It is impossible or very complicated to live without social media in our actual life, but we have to be careful when we use them... and more to be careful with our children...

  3. I really enjoyed watching that video! Always find videos and pics make the point a lot more clearer, I totally agree that our phones not only disturb our lives but also our sleep as social media has made us so much more nosey and constantly wanting to know what's happening around us. I like that you have added in saying social media links with job seekers as they look up a business before applying. This is a good blog as it has so much information in it, well done!
